Hi,
I'm thinking of dumping my current analog volume control/monitor routing system and replacing it with a simple passive controller.
I have 2 sets of monitors and a subwoofer.
Here's the question: how can I get a mono signal to the subwoofer from the passive volume control?
The idea is to have on/off switches for the 2 balanced (main)stereo outputs and the mono sub output. How can I split the output signals and make them mono without making my main output mono?
I hope I'm making sense, it's pretty late here... 😱
Thanks in advance,
Tomi

I think You cannot do that at least with a passive controller, let it be a multi deck stepped attenuator or a relay based stepped attenuator.
You'll need a summing amplifier to make a mono signal to the sub.
