Hey team,
Quick question for those who have enough in the mind palace -
I am itching to produce a universal dual mono supply in a chassis - to be configured with umbilical to compact heatsink-ed amp chassis....
So, let's say I wanted to build on PSU to power the following (theoretically): Aleph J, M2x, and F5T builds.... 2x600VA yielding 32V rails? seems perhaps a bit high for the Aleph, but can be biased down... is it too low for the F5T?
I'd love this so I can continue to build and swap around without incurring higher amp chassis costs (bulk) as well as Transformers, and the like.
FWIW, I rummaged around the forum a bit, but there is since there are differing directions on rail voltage, maybe someone can chime a solve-all answer in.
Thanks in advance!

If you scratch the F5turbo (the only ones that need higher voltage) you could build a dual mono PSU with +/-23ish VDC that can be used for all first watt amps exept for ACA.
Say 2x300VA 2x18VAC transformers. 2 pc of universal power supply boards from the store, put inn 8x10.000uF 35V caps on each. I also would have put in some PSU caps in the amp chassis it self.

hard mix 'n' match, regarding multiple voltages
doable with xformer having multiple secondary taps (manage how to change them) with filter caps covering max DC voltage
is it worthy trouble?
for regular user - naah .....
if you need to ask this specific question, you're still regular user
in fact, regular use around is having multiple number of Papamps
while mixed concoction as you described ....... that's something which regular abuser (as I am) need to have and use , in burning, exploding and making things

Always good for a laugh ZM!
Indeed its agreed - a regular user - with very real spousal limits to my own "amp camp" we live with.
Actually could be decently flexible to build Chassis with dual PSU boards fitted for either transformer set - and spades or QD all around - just swap transformers and you're good to go.
I'm envisioning something closer to a "listen for 6 months" then swap.
Generally I'm spatially limited to 3U (4 is possible) and 300mm depths - more boxes is easier than bigger ones, weirdly!

I have a similar question, I also am building a remote PS, I am wondering if it will power both an F6 and Aleph J at the same time?
Transformer is 500va/20v
PS has 88k uF per rail, plus each amp has another 44k uF

just take regular FW format Donut(s) - 2x 18Vac secondaries and go wild
do not forget - best way is to have abundance of pure C inside of that PSU chassis, then remaining RC locally with amp
plenty of
in fact, cheap and good enough for my needs - 250-300VA Donut per channel, {33mF-0R1/5W-33mF} per rail
that way - I hear well, have a wide smile, and also sleep extremely well ...... most likely having green even when I'm sleeping
