I could not resist building Mark Rothacher’s Ultralite he described during Burning amp 21….
I hope to share my build in the coming weeks.
I picked up a couple ECW20N20 mosfets from Profusion.
I will try to list parts & pictures as I go.
Cheers

Very cool Monk!
Mike's Ultralite looks like a neat project. I'll be interested in your progress 😉

I’m building a supply. Looked at Jamco SMPS but decided to build dual mono 48v with separate filament supplies too all in single chassis. Trying to keep my chassis pile to a minimum.
I think I'll go for two Meanwell inside the cabinets and Inductors, bulbs, tubes and mos/heatsink on top.
Something retro-style with instrument and chicken head (main switch) on front:
Economica EP802825 L 280 x P 250

I have a weakness for those big lightbulbs. Too bad they can't be found in Europe. 🙁
For those who are connected to 220v, there is a possibility to use hi-wattage halogen sticks (I had used 1500w 220v halogen stick for F2 lite)...

Thanks! 😉
P. S. Another thought: Use several automotive 12v 65w halogen lightbulbs in series, they look like tubes and glow in the dark 😎
