UK/EU supplier for B1 JFETS

Hi,

I'm planning to build a classic B1 buffer but am really struggling to get hold of suitable JFETs.

I know that the stock US type parts are 2SK170, LSK170 or 2SK370 but I'm struggling to find a recommended equivalent available in the UK. The only JFETs I've found that might work well are SMD package, which isn't ideal. Given the popularity of the buffer, I'm surprised there aren't more available.

Ideally I'd like to be able to get hold of enough to be confident of decent matching, but obviously can't afford many if the part cost is too high.

I'd appreciate some advice here.

Probably because they are obsolete? Have a look at Farnell or RS.
