Hi all,
I'm "trying" to replace the 200w UHP bulb in my sony projector (VPL-PX15), just the bulb not the whole light unit in the metal casing.
As you all know, they try to get away with charging £300+ for a genuine replacement as most projectors require a different shape/size casing even though the actual bulb is the same one in many projectors.
So, I'm just looking for a bulb which is 200w,UHP, and apparently a size "B" (2.5"x2.75"), i've seen quite a few bulbs for sale at various places but they do not list the bulb size, just that it "might" be compatible with certain makes. The markings on the bulb make little sense to me, the one i took out of my projector says "UHP 200W 1.3 D2", so i assumed the D2 was the size code, although how does this correspond to a size "B" which apparently it is?
The ones i have currently found for 200w have D3, C3 and E3 codes on them? I have also found other ones that have the same 1.3 and 1.35 listed on them, anyone have any idea what sizes these might be?
Lastly, does anyone know the bulb size that the Dell 4100MP uses (the dimensions of the front glass)? it's rated at 250w, but if it is (2.5"x 2.75") i'll go for one of these.
Many thanks,
Alex
