I have a newbee question. I adding another power supply to power just my DACS in my sound processor. Do I need to do anything special to connect the ground together? I'm thinking no and should just connect the new transformer ground to a ground point on the main board and I will be fine
Connect the ground of the rectifier to the ground of the smoothing cap. Then connect the ground of the smoothing cap to the ground of the client circuit.
Run the Hot as a twisted pair with the previous ground lines.

I have the board grounded already to a point on the main board. I had someone do the original mod. My new mod I will have two +5 volt power lines going to the other side of the main board where I'm removing two regulators (DAC analog, DAC digital). I wasn't planning on running a ground that way. So I really don't have another ground to twist. The distance is about 6" with the 2 end points about 6" apart. Will that be an issue?
