Hello everybody.
I have a 300B stereo tube amp.
For a few days when I turn on a channel it makes a loud clack, ploc, plop, like two seconds after turning it on.
When I switch the 300B valves sideways, the noise changes channels. Could the 300B be broken?

Are you running DC filaments, or AC filaments on the 300B?
The original WE 300B can be turned sideways to run horizontally, but only in one direction.
The filaments have to be aligned in a particular orientation.
What is the manufacturer of your 300B tubes?
What kind of bias do you have on the 300B?
Are the two 300B tubes oriented the same way, or is one turned at a different angle (like pins 1 and 4 on one tube is North South; and pins 1 and 4 on the other tube turned East and West)?
Is the driver tube RC coupled, DC coupled, or interstage coupled to the 300B grid?
Please post a schematic of your amplifier, including the power supply too.

I think he means "side to side". Left tube in right socket and right tube in left socket. (Which does sound like it is in that tube.)
