Hey guys
I'm gonna use Faital Pro M5N8-80 from ~500hz up to ~4500hz as a midrange in a three way speaker. I want your opinion about how to tune it. in a sealed box? or ported? or what

For a midrange?
With 4-500Hz lower cut off sealed is the only way to go IMO.
Imho, anything behind the cone will be good enough and the exact tuning of the load not a matter of concern.
Would choose a closed box as small a possible and fully stuffed to avoid cabinet resonances and colorations.

IME, TLs are best suited for mids-up loading. Well stuffed sealed gives some of the benefits, but not its impedance damping, though if an all digital XO, then it's moot.

A suitable TL for such a driver would not necessarily be monstruous...🙄
An old design based on a similar midranger, infrench...

Forgot about the sealed ones.
Still with that high a crossover freq it is hard to think past a tiny sealed enclosure. Probably equally hard to justify the complication and space other designs would need.
