I’ve built up a nice running TU8600 with all the fixings. Does anyone know if it’s okay to lower to less resistance the series resistor in the hp output section? Amp will only be used with high impedance planer hp’s. 200 to 300 ohms planer so impedance damping 1/8 might not be much of a factor. It looks like from the circuit diagram it can directly drive down to 4 ohms. Thanks in advance for any input.

I do not have the schematics for the TU-8600 but most likely yes. The TU-8200xx require a similar change for low impedance phones. The Focal Clear sounds awful when driven from a 90+ Ohm output. It is fine for >250 Ohm Sennheisers though.
