I got the tu-8600 yesterday and wondering if it's compatible with 300b XLS tubes.
From the circuit map looks like the transformer output for filament is 6v 2.2A which eventually goes to 5V to heat 300B. I have a pair of KR300B XLS which draw current 1.7A for filament.
Just wondering if I can fire up the 300BXLS? Thanks.

A typical 300b has a filament current 1.3 to 1.5 A. If there separate windings of 2.2A then you are fine. If there's only one winding you don't have enough current for regular 300b's let alone the KR.
