Does anyone know of a way to transit audio via the USB cable from an android phone? Perhaps with the aid of a microprocessor?
I simply wish to play audio from my phone through my headphones (using a headphone amplifier) via USB instead of the audio jack.

Works extremely well as it's own player.

Thank you for your informative reply
How does the linked DAC perform? Is any additional noise introduced? Any cutoff of frequencies?

Performs fine, no noise. Not ' top audiophile quality' but a very capable performer with no downside.
This is the actual unit that the DX link references.
SYBASONIC
plays 24/96 files remarkably well.
This is the chipset..

usb adaptive not asynch... but hey for $20 it's too good to pass up and too cheap to worry..🙂
It has a toslink pass through so I have even used it to output from android and Raspberry pi to the optical in of my hifi with surprisingly good results.
