Transmitting audio via USB?

Does anyone know of a way to transit audio via the USB cable from an android phone? Perhaps with the aid of a microprocessor?
I simply wish to play audio from my phone through my headphones (using a headphone amplifier) via USB instead of the audio jack.

24/96 Dac with headphone output. Works with usb audioplayer pro. I have both, tested and working on Android tablet,Samsung S3, and Kaiser Baas media player.

How does the linked DAC perform? Is any additional noise introduced? Any cutoff of frequencies?

Performs fine, no noise. Not ' top audiophile quality' but a very capable performer with no downside.
This is the actual unit that the DX link references.

usb adaptive not asynch... but hey for $20 it's too good to pass up and too cheap to worry..

It has a toslink pass through so I have even used it to output from android and Raspberry pi to the optical in of my hifi with surprisingly good results.
