Hypothetical question:
I have a MOSFET that I will run at 40v 1A bias. I want to connect it to a 64:8 impedance transformer.
How do I determine what inductance, size, etc.. of this transformer???
Help!!
Let me know if you need a schematic.

Transformer loading
I know that the inductance determines the low frequency cut - off point, and the leakage inductance determines the high frequency cut - off point. Possibly where the reactance equals the secondary impedence reflected onto the primary. 64 ohms, if the turns ratio matches 8 ohms load to 64 ohms primary impedence.
This is something valve (tube) guys do all the time, so maybe you should ask there. I remember load lines and stuff😀
Hope this helps
