Hi epa,
Is the black line you drew an estimation of how the mid enclosure will act? If so, why doesn't hornresp model this? Or is the black line you drew showing where the top enclosure will pick up from?

no m8 ,the speaker used in this design has a rising responce there.Hi epa,

hr only shows what the box does ,not what the speaker itself does.
here is the selenium kick bin worked out.
the backpannel needs a lit to put the driver in.
internal pannels are all 60 high.
when you finnished these i wl design the 12 and 6" horns.
if you have any questions feel free to ask
cant wait to see it😀

Erick this look simple to build
Can I get the measurements in inches
Thanks
the driver chamber volume must be between 16 and 20 ltrs.
you can put 2 shelfs in the chamber (like in the pic)or you can use foam blocks or pur foam.

putting it in inches is a lot of work.
why not use a tapemeasure with inches and cm on it.
or you can calculate it by dividing the nr by 2,54
edit/maybe its easyer than i tought.
hold on

I will do that
This weekend I will put together a cutlist to see how much ply I need.
I will be recycling some old 3/4" ply

Oh, sorry - I've never modeled tops before. How much more is there to it than comparing the driver's response to the box's response? Feel free to forward me to help pages if it makes your life easier 🙂

its the same, its just hr doesnt see the frequentie variations of the driver.
it asumes a flat rigid piston, not cone flexes and such.(i dont remember where i read this tho)
so you can (try to) design a horn to atenuat the weaker part responce of the driver in the pasband.
in this example of the eminence beta 12-a
you can see the rising responce of the driver wich helps the mid horn to extend/attenuate the upper responce ,where the hron fals off.

Can i use 3/4'' ply to build this cabinet. I have some old cabs made of 3/4'' ply, i want to reused the ply for this build.
