Too much ampere into class D amp?

I bought a class d amp ta2024 from ebay, and thinking of running it from an power supply instead of a battery, what Ampere rating could i go with? Does it matter at all?

Ordered one of each, i know they require different voltage, but how do i know whats the optimal Amperage?

Optimal amperage is infinity. But since our wallet isn't infinity, we get something that can provide the maximum current the amp will draw (around 2 to 3 amps), multiply by 2 for extra headroom, multiply by x for the 'audiophile factor'
