Hi there...
I'm thinking of buying one of these two boards:
TK2050
TK2050 50W+50W Class T HIFI Stereo Audio Amplifier Board dc 12v Voltage:10-30V | eBay
TDA7492
2 X 50 Watt 6 Ohm Class D Audio Amplifier Board - TDA7492 | eBay
In your opinion, what would be the best buy between this two? I'm considering to buy the TK2050... For a 6 Ohm load speakers, do you think the Tripath would be better? I've read (somewhere in this forum) that the voltage should not exceed 24V when using 6 Ohm speakers...
Can anyone enlighten me on this subject?
And by the way:
Are those boards well desgined? Shall I change any components for a better ones?
I've read as well that a lot of people, do change components to reach far better results... If I change some components, better results will be attained?
Many thanks in advance

I can't offer an opinion on the class T amp but the TPA7492 looks like STMicro's version of TI's TPA3118.
Should sound good.
Should sound good.
Awww go ahead 🙂
I mean how can you go wrong?
A $20 Amp from the Lower Yangtze Noodle and Electronics Factory.
Likely made out of the finest of fake parts.
A sure bet for a Winner product..
Buy Cheap = buy twice or if silly.. repeatedly 🙂

I have the SURE brand TK2050 and TDA 7492 boards and thought the TK2050 sounded better with my 8ohm Advent test speakers. I also got one of the $15 RED TPA3116 boards that sounds at least as good as my TK2050 boards. It's important to have a power supply with 4amps or more at 24volts if you want to get the most out of any of these boards.
This one costs aprox. 32 Us Dollars:
And this one costs 20 Us Dollars:
They are both rated 100W x2 and they both need a 24V DC Power Supply
I'm not really an expert, but they seem very similar to me... Shall I go for the cheapest one?
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
