The supply for the Synch motor of a Thorens TD 160 MK1 has two polarized capacitors. One produces the phase shift and the other one bridges the switch. The latter capacitor was degraded in my TT so that the motor permanently received a small current and buzzed. Removing the capacitor cured the problem but now I am looking for a replacement.
Please help me with the following point: The Capacitor is an ERO KT1800 and it is labelled 0.01/1000 (250 V~) but there is no unit given for the capacity. I guess it is 0.01 uF but (also considering the size) but I am not sure. Does anybody know ....?
Mick

Hi Mick_F
From the data you are giving: it's a polyester film capacitor from Roederstein 1000VDC/250VAC 0.01µF (or 10nF)
