My CS 3.5 equalizer has a static noise in the left channel. Another post said to fettle with the trimmer pot and spray it. What exactly does the trimmer pot do? Is there a specific setting for this? Thanks in advance for all you remaining Thiel owners! 🦻
The pot could be an output DC offset adjust control.
Here is a reverse-engineered schematic someone posted here in another thread.

Unless someone else knows more about it, you could mark the pot position, and then try tweaking it a little to see if the output DC offset varies.
This is a direct-coupled circuit, so that is likely to be the pot's function. If so, set it for an output of 0 VDC after a suitable warmup (with the lid on).
If your bass amplifier has an input coupling capacitor, the setting should not be very critical, since the output DC will be blocked.
