I thought Thanksgiving was a holiday where we all get together with our borderline-alcoholic relatives, butcher a turkey, and eat ourselves sick. In my case, reminding said relatives that I don't drink every 20 minutes or so.

That's the beauty of living here in Motown, we always know how the game will end so the TV is on but nobody is distracted by it!
Turkey drums are in the immersion cooker. 8 hours at 160º then surface sear. Three drums are BBQ style, three are Sage based.
Smashed potatoes in the casserole dish ready for reheating, gravy will use the sage water, Okra for the veggie.
