Hi. When I make up my audio cable (5 pin DIN to 1/8" stereo jack plug) to connect my SANGEAN 803A radio to my PC soundcard, if I make up a stereo cable - and if I plug into the soundcard's microphone input - I will have phantom power (10V) terminating into a 1K resistor inside the radio. I presume that is no problem at all. There will be 0.1W dissipated in the resistor. I don't see a problem.
I don't suppose phantom power sources source much current anyway.
