TC9FD line array open baffle qts question

I am seeking to replace the single fe103 mid/tweets (burned out) on my MJK open baffles with four of the little vifas wired series/parallel. This should give power handling far beyond the 5 watts of the Fostexes. It will also permit me to get mid/tweets near the woofer so I won't have bass notes jumping from driver to driver. It should also allow the speaker to project
far field better. Efficiency should be close: 89.5 db/watt as opposed to the original 89. I am hoping that lobing will knock down the highs a bit as I understand the the new drivers are a bit hotter than the old ones. If the drivers prove to be too hot I shall try dammar or modpodge on two or three of them.

I have played with the Edge and it looks like I can get almost as much of a
hump at 400-500 hz. as was originally designed into the speaker.

The Edge does not acct. for qts. The org. driver has a qts of .33. the vifas
are .89. I know that qts does affect how low a driver will play on an open baffle, but because of the crossover, these drivers are not asked to play below 500 hz.

Do I need to account for this difference? thanks much.

thanks sreten. I saw mention in Martin's treatise on the alpha15/fe103 OB
that Edge does not take into acct. driver response, but that is not relevant
as the vifa is flat through the xover region. I guess the response is measure on
an OB so I am good to go. thanks again.
