Hi Gents,
Been reading, asking questions & trying to learn about horn speakers.
Seems like Tapped Horns are the way to go if one is looking for a small cabinet as compared to other forms of horn loading. My question is can Tapped Horns be designed to have a higher cut off frequency like around 400-500 hz ?

Thank you

Sumotan,

Yes, tapped horns can be designed to have virtually any cut off frequency, though their smooth frequency range is limited to around 2 to 3 octaves, so to reach 500 Hz the low frequency cut off would be around 100 to 125 Hz. If the low frequency cut off was designed for 400 Hz, the upper range would be limited to something below 1600 Hz.
