It's a pity, I use tapatalk to view various forums - it's very convenient, accessing forums through the browser from the phone is very inconvenient - small screen, low readability. Maybe someday you will switch to this application and enable it to be used to log into diyaudio? In that case, I would like to thank you for using the forum.

IMHO It's big mistake. TT it's the largest forum program on mobile devices and very customizable. The change was supposed to be for the better but it looks like it won't be. It will definitely make it difficult for me to access the forum. Regards, Darek

I used Tapatalk on the old forum but it didn't always work well - so I stopped using it. I've found the mobile version of the new software to be easy and good.
Do you not like it as well as the Tapatalk version of the old forum?

I had no problems with TT and the old forum. The "subscribed" tab gave quick access to new thread entries. Now you have to go through the menu. Maybe someone will think it's laziness, but I think it's a lack of optimization to navigate around interesting topics

Another avid TT user.
The ease at which pictured could be shared was great. But if this test pic goes well. It's easy enough.

Some fora are still in the pic attachment dark ages.

I also used Tapatalk with the old system, and it worked pretty well for me. While the new system does work on small screens of mobile devices, I preferred Tapatalk.

Is it possible to install/enable Tapatalk on the new system, or is the new software not compatible with Tapatalk?

As discussed, we're done with Tapatalk. Their plugin caused lots of problems, regularly stopped working, and one time caused the whole server to seize up negatively affecting the performance of the site for other users. Their attitude also stinks, they want to mine other forums and try to bring everyone over to their own forums. Their technology, business model, and MO are incompatible with what we're trying to achieve.

While the move to the current revision of the platform has been a great step forward, we will absolutely continue to focus on creating a great mobile experience for the 45% of our visitors who are accessing the site today on mobile and tablets, and not rely on a 3rd party company that doesn't have our best interests at heart slowly sinking its tendrils into our community. The only reason we enabled Tapatalk previously was because we didn't have a viable mobile experience for our members. Now that we done, Tapatalk is one less thing we have to worry about and we can focus on getting our site working great on mobile.

Completely agree with you. Having the menu item words clickable, and any hierarchical navigation progressively open instead of dumping a huge multi-page list on your screen, are two things I have been pushing to be implemented. They will get done one way or another, but it might take a little time.

You might say "why can't you do such a simple thing as make it possible to click on the words in the mobile menu?". I have 25 years experience working with web pages, and the explanation I was given for this is "very complicated". However I think it's fair to say that in every case what we wanted to do could not be done due to complicated technical reasons, what we wanted to do clashing with the software. We don't want to be boring like every other XenForo forum out there, and we want to have a unique website, with a unique navigation system that perfectly suits diyAudio and its community, and works in an exemplary fashion.

It's likely that what we will end up doing is less "tweaking the existing software" and more "rewrite it from scratch free of dependencies" so we can achieve our goals and have the best interface possible free from restrictions.

I don't think the mobile version is a solution for smaller phones like my Iphone SE II. It's not workable on a small screen. Tapatalk is buggy, i know, but there must be a better solution than this forum layout on mobile.
