Hi,
I have a Tanglewood T6 acoustic amp on the bench with noise problems around the effects section.
Managed to trace down the problem down to U201 /RST Input (CS5340-CZZ) Analog to digital converter. Shorting C222 gets rid of the noise but turns off the amp effects, since /RST input is at low level, of course.
I removed C222 and R201, and the noise was still present. However, with those componentes removed, when I tap R210 leads with anything metal (a multimeter probe, screwdriver etc) Noise goes away and the amp works as expected.
What do you guys think could be causing this? Replaced R201 with a jumper and C222 with a new cap, but the problem remains.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Fran

Is U205 fitted? If so I don't think C222 should be, as its shorting the output of U205 (which is a reset pulse generator). I think maybe if C222 and U205 are fitted R201 should be something like 100 ohms to limit current output, rather than 0 as shown

Hello. I have equipment like this on my bench too. If you need to check any additional parts, just call.
In my case the defect is in the amplifier section, do you have the electrical diagram for that part? Audio comes out distorted from the TDA7294, replace it now. In the input it is ok. Symmetrical sources at 32V DC.
@FranciscoPerez I'm sorry for resurrecting this old thread but I would like to know where you found the schematic for the Tanglewood T6. I've got one I need to diagnose. Your schematic is helpful but seems to have a few differences to the unit I'm looking at. Having an up-to-date schematic would make life so much easier!Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply. I'm really pleased when manufacturers of modern equipment help repairers. I'll ask them now.
