I used a pair of Tamura A- 8711 transfomer as the ouput transformer in a 12B4a linestage preamp. The highs are very clear and detailed but there is absolutely no bass. Can anyone share your expereince or advice what I had done wrong? I cannot find the datasheet for the A-8711 on this forum on on the net. I got them used anyway. Perhaps they were not designed to be used with a DC current flowing through them as they were designed for input applications?
If all else fail, I will probably use them as my transformer IV in my PCM1794 DAC, but that is in the digital forum.

Of course they can't handle the dc current. The voltage level may also be excessive. You might want to try them in a parafeed arrangement. Use either a choke or CCS as a load for the tube and cap-couple the transformer to ground.
