Hello!
I'm drooling on the chassis from takachi, they have dimensions available that would fit my dreams.
But I'm not that sure about the "heat-conductance" of their heatsinks, which are looking a bit different—they're smaller but thicker and "rippled"...
Has anybody some experience on these?
Or are they undersized just by looking at them?
I'm trying to steer clear of active cooling systems, although I dream of using a stirling-engine for a fan...
Thanks!
david

naah
even biggest - 4U/330deep , regular 430w - still having fins+base plate under 30mm
not enough , unless you resort to Babysitter
question better asked in PL Subforum, btw.

I shall have them made in silver then. cheaper than a babysitter.naah

Sorry, I took it as a joke.
Will think about it in a lucid moment [emoji2955]
An example: Babysitter
Yup, just read it.
I‘m just not sure if a babysitter—an active, failure-probe cooling device—is something I want (this of course includes the Stirling fantasies) 🙂
