Hello everyone, I'm new in the forum, I just bought the TAG-101,
TAG101 Audio Generator Function Signal 10 to 1MHz | eBay
I would like to know if any of you have changed this generator to improve the distortion and noise, or if you have any suggestions in this regard. My budget is limited and I can not afford a Krohn-Hite 4402B that is my dream.
thanks

HI have not but would say from experience.... find the oscillator IC and upgrade it... if it an opamp... try the one I used in other oscillators... LT1468.

I hope that it will not use discrete transistors instead of op-amp, The generator is not delivered jet to me so I can't open it, but it will be the first things that I do as just arrive.
You can study the manual before it arrives:

I found the picture of the oscillator inside! Unfortunately is a discrete transistor! No way to improve the performance I think! ?????: eBay?????
So I think that the only chance is the DIY, do you know if I can buy the PCB of project already done from someone? I don't want to start from a schematics. Many thanks

It looks pretty simple, but you'd need the schematic to do anything with it.
