Hi,
I want to build a simple X-over for a 4 ohm sub.
Something along the lines of this :-
Passive Crossovers 120Hz Subwoofer Filter 4 Ohm 400W 12dB Solder Lugs 900.582 | eBay
What is the value of the choke for a 4ohm speaker with the 188uF capacitor ?
Thanks
Andy

Hi,
188uF at 120Hz at 4 ohms indicates a Bessel 2nd order filter, L=9.2mH.
rgds, sreten.
TBH that filter is probably your cheapest source of such an inductor.

My first concern would be ensuring the mid-range speaker can go low because that crossover is hardly putting a dent into the signal going into the mid-speaker below the crossover point.
Passive crossovers for subs... how quaint.
