Subwoofer Amplifier

Hi guys,

I want to design a subwoofer amplifier with a 5 watt output. I know the output is low but I don't have the power supplies to make it any bigger. I'd like to use a darlington pair on the output and an adjustable low pass filter at the input. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to get started?

Your better off using a 5 watt output chipamp like TDA2003 or something similar.

I have to design it for a calss and I doubt that that would be allowed. I also don't want to skimp out because I'd like to learn something in this process.
