Stimulus payment: DTQWT or .....

What SPL is required? And what load properties are best for your tube amps? The Troels Gravesen design doesn't seem the easiest of loads and could require some additional crossover hardware to run well on a transformer output amp.

Below is the impedance curve for the DTQWT. Is this a tough load for a SET?

I'd have to look at my spice model and make some measurements but I am guestimating about 2-3 ohms. No 4ohm tap.

Edit: Correcting last post, amp is not a SET but a Pentode SE with a little feedback. So it may be on the lower end of that 2-3 ohm estimate.

Edit2: LTSpice says Zout ~ 2 ohms

I won’t try to talk you out of the DTQWT. It is an open system, probably relying on an amp that controls it. Furthermore, I can’t predict what the output impedance does with the transfer function of the complete system, compared to a solid state amp with low output impedance. Some would say a closed box and a linearized impedance would be a better fit.
