I see you have the schematics now. I have the service manual with the alignment, operation, theory..... Unfortunately it's not in PDF format and would have to be scanned. If you need it let me know. it's about 40 pages.

I'm looking for the service manual for Tascam CDRW2000 and can't find one.

Thanks for this kind offer.

I asked for the documentation because my unit has developed a number of "soft" faults with time, resulting mainly in a higher noise floor.

I had been able to fix hard faults, such as PSU problems, but the soft ones are more elusive, and difficult to track without support.

Now that I have the schematics, I'll be able to go deeper, and hopefully isolate the causes of problems (bad contacts I think).
If this is not successful, I may need to go through the whole calibration process, and in this case, I'll ask for your help.

Sorry for your Tascam, but I cannot help there.

Zeonrider,
Even though this string is quite old, I was curious if you ever pdf'd the service manual for the ST1700B. I am about to take delivery of one, and it has high residual distortion. While I assume it is related to caps, a service manual would be beneficial. Thanks for your thoughts
Dan
