Sound Bar for my Truck

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and been poking around on internet looking for a means to increase my listening pleasure in my truck....only heres the rub, i'm hard of hearing im completely def in my right ear and have 60%+ loss of hearing in my right, so I'd like to somehow incorporate some more mini speakers in my truck in stratigic places to help me hear my radio while driving.

We all know that when were tooling donw Hwy it can get rather noisy inside our vechicle in addition to having window down so I've been looking for some mini/small speakers that possible would be small enough to place in the B post above the seatbelt anchor and in the A post above my "Oh ****" handle on driver side and perhaps on the passenger side as well. Then this am I was looking at sound bar for my TV and thought this would be a option to some how hook one of these to my Trucks radio and mount the sound bar above my rear window with a special made shelf (Aluminum plate) then cover in same material as headliner.

Before anyone responds I must admit i'm not very knowledble in wiring especially when we talk automotive stuff and but have friends who are master mechanics who could guide me along the way. I just really need to solve my listening problems, I've been def most all my life, did the hearing aid thing but after being def for 48yrs and using hearin aids it's too hard to get use to all the sounds I've never experienced so thats out of the question.

So if anyone thinks a sound bar type of idea would work I'd be willing to go that route otherwise some mini/small speakers that I could mount in the A/B post would be another option. I look forward to your ideas.....

Thank's
Dan

The make and model of the truck may help others provide suggestions.

Why not get a bracket made to extend out to the side of your headrest to mount a small coaxial speaker on? Or maybe something like a computer speaker that can take enough power for you to hear it. You'd have to mount it below ear level to prevent it from blocking your view to the side but it would be closer than speakers in the normal locations.

You mentioned a plate for mounting the speakers. If the plate is going to be anywhere near your head, you should be aware that it could be dangerous in an accident. Watch a few videos showing the occupants of a vehicle during an accident and you'll see that they move significantly farther than you'd expect, even when wearing a seatbelt.

Its Dodge Ram, '04 quad cab.....the speakers in dash, door or elsewhere don't really help much I mean I can hear them but I have to turn the volume up louder than a normal person would. I know about accidents I was a FF'er for 10yrs+ so I've seen it all Thank's.... The shelf I mentioned I was thinking of mounting up above the rear window so I figured it's be far enough away should I get hit or in a serious wreck. a small 1-1/2" if there's anything that small yet thin enough in depth to drop in on the B post or A post would be best because it would be close to my hearing ear which then I wouldnt' have to turn the volume up as loud as I do now.
