There‘s a sony ta-4650, said to be in „good condition“ (diodes got replaced), in my reach, seller demands chf 375 upwards (~340$).
Is it worth it?

Either the Swiss franc got a severe hit I am unaware off or your calculus is somewhat wrong... that said, still a bargain 😉

That is not a bad deal, it's the smallest of the Sony VFet amps, don't miss out, but you may also like to consider this one:-
Sony TA-5650 stereo integrated amplifier with phono stage - serviced 2021 | eBay
It's the TA-5650 so has 8 VFETs not 4 as the TA-4650, a bit more of everything else (including cost!) as well.
Thought about this too—concluded that _if_ I get it, I will listen to it very thoroughly before thinking about eviscerating it... an old amp deserves respectful treatment.
Even though this one isn‘t among the models I like the most (look-wise)

I have an old Sony VFET amp, the TAN-5550. I rebuilt it, replacing a lot of parts. It sounds nice, but not as nice as the VFET/SIT amps that I have built. I don't really use it anymore, but I will keep it in one piece. Higher power SITs are still available for new builds and I will keep the Sony so someone who isn't into DIY can one day enjoy the VFET sound from the Sony.
HA! I got it (not yet in the chain or even the workshop...)
Now I’m getting curious what that sony-fuss [emoji1782] is all about?
That’s the good thing about (diy)audio: I can choose when and how often there’s christmas [emoji2956]
