Hello all.
I recently acquired an X9. But as it is a Japanese model, I have no owners manual in English (or Japanese) for it.
Can anyone be of assistance here? There might actually be a chance one was never issued, although, as far as I can tell, a few of these tables were sold in NA, so an English version is somewhere, hopefully.
Anyhow, if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Sony's top o' line professional table. Looks like it is built like a tank.
Don't know about an owners manual. But you can get the service manual over on the Vinyl Engine site in the manuals section.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have the service manual, but, unfortunately, it doesn't have the basic info that an owners manual has. If anyone can tell me how to get ahold of the fellow who runs Vintage Knob, that would be a good source, but the website doesn't have an e-mail address.
You lucky *bleep bleep bleep*.. 😀
That is one seriously nice turntable.. Got the PS-X70 here 🙂
I also have a PS-X70 and love it. The differences are not all that large, actually. I believe the 70 is one of the great turntables, with an arm that puts many, much more expensive ones to shame. Interestingly, the PUA7 arm on the 70 is not the same as the one available separately, which is actually better. Go figure. Sony at its opaque best.
But the 9 is a piece of work, for sure. And I am lucky to have one.
Yes, there are small differences in arm lift (automatic) and the main arm bearing is a bit closer specced tolerance wise on the original PUA-7; due to the fact that it's a manual arm. Nonetheless, that 9 is a real "sleeper". Oh well, keeps the prices down for us enthousiasts 😉

You can contact the web owner at axeldahlATthevintageknobDOTorg for more info, if the address still works.
Good luck!

True that. Kinds like Sony headshells - the cast ones. I have a little collection of them, thank god, for the prices have gone thru the roof.
Would like to get my hands on a XL-55Pro cartridge - NOS is possible - but I am not holding my breath. I have an XL-33 that is pretty good, but is really no match for the Denon 103R that I use. Now THAT is a cartridge. Man is it good.
