Sonic Frontiers Power 3 Help Needed

Hi all,

I have a friend who owns a pair of Sonic Frontiers Power 3 amps. Unfortunatly, one of the power supply transformer has blown up.
He succeed to find someone who's able to rebuilt one but he would needs the schematic.

Does someone have them and could give them to me? I would really appreciate and my friend will also i guess.

Many thanks in advance for the help you could provide.

Hi Stef,

Many thanks for the hint, i am going to drop them a line and will keep you informed.

In fact i just need the exact different values the transformer needs to have and maybe it'll be easier to find than the schematic.

Best regards, Ludovic.

Hi,

Well it's now a few days i've wrote them but i didn't even get an answer. 🙁

So if someone here knows the email of Chris Johnson who now works at Parts Conexion's maybe he could drop him a line for me?

Or if you have another suggestion?

Anyway i am going to try to reach him again in a few days and will tell you then.

Have a nice day,

Ludovic.

Hi Ludovics,

Sorry to hear about not getting an answer, I have never dealt with them so my remark was not based on first hand experience.
It is of course possible they are very busy and you just have to be patient! Good luck... Hope it works out for you!

Kind regards, Stef.

I have a spare Power two transformer, it may be the same. The 3 was a mono block 2

The originals were made by Hammond and more than a few showed defective and then they switched to AC Frost I think. The worst is later they sold the Hammonds as spares when the Hammond had a common defect. Hammond might make you one, ( or better get the AC Frost)

Hi Ticknpop,

Well, thanks for all those details, i didn't knew about that.
Thanks also for your offer concerning the spare one you have, i'll tell my friend about it and will let you know his decision.
But once again, he knows somebody who'd be able to built him one here in France if i succeed to find the values.
I'll wait for Parts Conexions answer anyway.

All the best.

Ludovic.

Sorry I should have said Sonic Frontiers part number (H300178) but I just realized your friend was probably looking for the mains transformer not the output transformer. I am not sure yet which one(s) I need to replace to reduce buzzing.
