I have disconnected my ps2 hip gear controller card and screen adjustment cards from the ps2 controller.

What I would like to do for now is use the hip gear 110 wall plug as well as the connector that gets the video/audio feed from the ps2 for power and sound to the screen to be used in a first projector project before i get into wiring it for other things and then going to better more expensive screens.

What I have right now is the LCD screen with the backlight connected to the controller card which has a yellow and brown wire that was cut from the back of the ps2 controller.

There is a grey ribbon cable running from this controller card to the contrast/brightness/volume/color controller card which has an orange and green running to the same connector as the grey ribbon cable by the power switch which went to the ps2 controller like the yellow and brown

There is a black, white and red running from the other side of the picture quality controller card by the headphone jack that also were cut from the ps2 controller.

Researching I have come across the ribbon cable pinout of 1-7 with 1 being closest to the orange wire and 7 being the farthest away as

1 power
2 ground
3 adjust power
4 contrast
5 color
6 brightness
7 adjust ground

This came from a source that discarded the picture quality adjustment card and just used the controller card and the ribbon cable from the quality adjustment card to send power to the lcd and then made his own smaller quality control card.

On his project he had the lcd working with backlight without using the black/white/red near the headphone jack, or orange green, just common grounds for all grounds involved and power in and video in from other sources. But he was using another object to ground and also a 6volt AA power source.

So besides disconnecting the lcd portion from the controller I have likewise cut the power source plug and the audio/video plugs from the ps2 controller and have these on my work bench.

The power source has blue and purple the a/v in has black, red. red/black and white.

I am guessing the red, black and white are for video in in the format that this controller gets it from the ps2, a ground (presumably the red/black as it never makes it to the lcd picture quality controller it ends on the ps2 gamepad) leaving a right and left channel?

so I am thinking from the ps2 back to the ps2 controller

white (sound channel)
red (power)
black (sound channel or ground)
red/black (video in)

This would mean from these the ps2 controller then changes the video in source to yellow to go to the lcd controller card as the red/black line from the a/v jack on the back of the ps2 ends at the controller.

Since the red, black and white are not used to get the screen to light I would not need them but I am thinking the orange and green are some form of power/ground for the lcd and picture quality controller cards.

So if

1 power to lcd controller/lcd
2 ground for lcd controller/lcd
3 adjust power
4 contrast from pic q control
5 color from pic q control
6 brightness from pic q control
7 adjust ground

I am not understanding why the adjust power and ground (which I am assuming is what I am calling picture quality controller card) is running on 3 and 7 into the lcd controller.

But I would think the brown coming from the lcd controller is some form of common ground out and either the orange or green is a common power in and the other a single ground.

So if I know where to run the blue and purple from the wall socket plug then through process of illimination I would know what the others did. I just do not want to fry either one of my cards here 🙁

Thank you for any help
