Is a speaker designed differently when being used with a solid state amp versa a vacuum tube amplifier? or should the speaker sound the same no matter which amplifier is being used.
Amplifiers with a higher output impedance will cause more coloration due to the voltage divider effect
with the frequency varying speaker impedance. Speakers can be, but seldom are, made with a
reasonably constant impedance. For an example of this problem:
