Hi,
could anyone please tell me of a way to simulate a SMPS, I have been try frantically with PSPICE but it keeps throwing errors about things such as unmodeled pins, etc.
I cant find an SG3524, but found a SG1524. If anyone could please let me know of a way, even if its a suggestion of another simulation program. I dont mind using SG3524/SG1524/TL494

Look up Switchercad (LT SPICE) on Linear Tech's website --- www.linear.com -- and there is a user group on Yahoo.
National Semi and On-Semi also have CAD programs for their own proprietary chips. Texas Instruments has a beta for their version of SwitcherPro -- you have to register to use this --
On-Semi's software is a version of Power 4-5-6 for their controller chips.

Thanks, will check that out, at the moment just excluded the PWM part of the SMPS and testing the output circuitry (inductor, switching devices, filter cap) using PSPICE, but i had to use just a straight square wave instead of the regulation. At least i have an idea if it may work with what i know now. Will let you know if I have any other issues
