i have problem with this device...

this device use in this circut...a 1kw(100v,10A) smps.
another question is:can i use IGBT against MOSfet?

It is an optocoupler.
Used to isolate the primary from the secondard windings voltages of the output transformer.
Used so ensure the high output voltages don't destroy the low voltage packages on the left of the circuit.
