Apparently he used auto body filler to fill in the dents and then re-veneered. Plus painted the front, for effect.
I'm not sure I understand why he had to cover the entire speaker in auto body filler, (instead of just filling in the dented corners), before applying the new veneer, though.
At any rate, you certainly cannot argue with the results!!!
