well, the akg Mic is also intended for use as a hairline Mic in operas and similar 
also, akg got a technical grammy for their mics.
Edit: you won't find a that small mic with less self noise. I guess, although I didn't measure it, that this Mic is at the bottom end, talking of the self noise. (I hope I didn't mess it up with that saying)
