Small parts in Chicago city limits?

Hi friends. I'm starting to build guitar amps. I have a friend who has pointed me toward a parts warehouse in Batavia, but that's an hour drive for me.

Wondering if anyone can point me toward a shop inside Chicago city limits or in a near suburb (Skokie, lincolnwood). I need things like resisters, caps, Jewell lights, trannys.

what place is there in Batavia, if I may ask?
are you referring to American Surplus on Roosevelt Rd?
If so, not a lot there for electronics parts; save your gas and time.

Isn't Triode Electronics in Chicago? I've only ever dealt with them on the webs, so I have no idea if they have a walk-in store.

It looks like they have a location on the far west side. I'll send an email and see if it functions as a walk in location. Thanks for the heads up
