These woofers have been sitting in my drawer for quite some time. Are they worth putting in enclosures? I know little about them. If I were to use them, they would be for my desk as near fields. What are their characteristics and is it possible to build sealed enclosure with them?
I could pair them with Vifa XT25SC80-04
Thanks

I guess not for your desk...
I remember Dave Ellis a long while back working with them but commented "not worth the time". He didn't illustrate why, but there ya go.
I'm not used to TL's or series crossovers. Is the 15R10W? resistor OK in series with woofer? I guess they use it a lot in Kefs (series resistors). Their bad.I remember Dave Ellis a long while back working with them but commented "not worth the time". He didn't illustrate why, but there ya go.

Here is another one
Tweeter: R 6,8ohm CLC 8,2uF - 0,23mH - 20uF
Mid-Woofer: LCL 1,7mH - 12uF - 0,6mH e Zobel RC 6,8ohm - 10uF
Vol. 14,5 litri in reflex

Hmmm... My memory is that they are pretty good. Heck, you have them, there is no reason not to use 'em! 😀

Check first that they are in a healthy condition (rubber surround and suspension)
These are great drivers despite they are a 15 year old construction. The have a very nice neutral midrange with good off-axis dispersion and can be used up to 3000Hz where they start to roll-off without any nasty cone break-ups. They are very easy to work with, but they are no bass monsters.
Use them in a 12-14liter bass-reflex enclosure tuned to about 45Hz and you are more than satisfied with the result.

If I remember correctly, that was the woofer used in the original Wilson WATT. Not positive about that, though.
