Frankly, I always found his post Bond performances much more nuanced, but then they were written that way.
"The Hill" is one of my favorites. Connery and Ossie Davis were wonderful, along with everyone else.

Connery was reportedly offered $30 million along with 15 percent of the worldwide box office receipts for the role, which — had he accepted — would have earned him $450 million.
