Sean Connery Dies At 90

The Oscar was for "The Untouchables" which I have never seen.

Sean Connery - Wikipedia

My two favourites he did were "The Hunt for Red October" about the Soviet Submarine and "The Man who would be King" where he hammed it up with Michael Cane somewhere in India.

Both Connery and Caine considered the movie their favorite of all they had worked on.

Who has not tried to put on that voice: " A Dry Martini, Shaken not Shtirred."

"Your a Shite, Moneypenny. A Shite for Shore Eyes."

😱

Is that a pishtol, or are you jusht pleashed to shee me?

Here's some interesting further trivia about Sean Connery:

Connery was offered the role of Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings series but declined it, claiming he did not understand the script. Connery was reportedly offered $30 million along with 15 percent of the worldwide box office receipts for the role, which — had he accepted — would have earned him $450 million.

I can't quite see it myself. Too much of the tough guy for the role. 😀
