Sealing a my midget coffin .. “Warning” rife with innuendo reply possibilities!

I’m upgrading my RTL TDL 2’s so I thought I would attempt to seal them, they are transmission lines so they will be tricky , what sealant would you recommend, and any tips on how to get into the tight gaps (and yes I do expect innuendos to follow such a comment) ? I’m just a little nervous that some sealant’s may become hard after a while (I just keep setting myself up don’t I?) And maybe crack or flake (this is like a Frank Zapper song !) or just won’t stay stuck to the fibre board chassis.
Also I will be adding egg box foam so it would be great if I could use the same type, but if not I bought a hot glue gun to bed down the crossover parts so I could use that but it’s expensive stuff.

GE clear silicone caulking. It's not toxic, will cure in 24 hours, easy to work with, seals great, excellent adhesion, you can work it with your bare fingers, and you can remove it easily enough if you have to. It's also very inexpensive. One caution, check the expiration date. Volatile solvents in the mix will evaporate slowly and after the expiration date will be gone to the point where it will never cure. You can buy it in a squeeze tube or the way I usually buy it is in a caulking gun container. It also can be capped and reused over the long haul. Always available at The Home Depot and many other places too.
