Howdy Folks!
I just purchased a Rose RS-150b streamer today. I’m using this with my Pioneer Spec-1 preamp, and my McIntosh MC-7270 power amp, while my c-28 is undergoing pro restoration for now. The Rose 150b has (10) pre-out level settings ranging from 100mv to 5000mv’s. Rose audio warns you not to set the pre- level output too high, because if set too high it can damage the input of both your preamp and your power amp as well.
Is there’s anyone who’s had or has a Rose streamer, please help me out with this one.
Happy holidays to all!

Section 2.2.4.1 in the manual explains the setting of the output level - try 500mV in the first instance, increase as needed - the MC 7270 seems to have an input sensitivity of 0.75V.
Different streams may have different levels so you may have to up the output level higher than you might think (or not). So trial and error but don't start at 5V!!

Thanks, very much! I was just recently down in MD. when I first heard one of these streamers. This thing sounds sublime, bold, vivid and extreme when it comes to hi-end quality. That heavy price tag which I paid tells it all. This unit is highly sophisticated and way beyond. I've had this unit for only 4 days, and I'm almost finished dialing it in, but the user has to do alot of work in order to get there. Happy Holidays to all, you and yours!
