I read a post on a forum and they have a debate on this amp .

The guy has a dual 4 ohm sub

Some say if you bridge the amp to a 8 ohm load it makes the same power as 4 ohm stereo

Wondering if this is correct or not .

Yes, correct. So for example; if 4 ohm stereo is 200 watts per channel, bridged at 8 ohms would be 400 watts.

It would be theoretically better if you run the sub in series at 8 ohms bridged due to changes in T/S parameters rather than 2x4ohm, but that's highly theoretically.

Power is would be the same in both scenarios
