I have here very early 60’s Rheem Califone Director ll tube turntable/ PA amplifier. My dad mainly used this in a small auditorium as PA system, not so much the turntable part.

IMHO if it's still working, leave it alone and sell it to someone who will enjoy it for what it is. Then use those funds for your project.
Plug your guitar into the Mic input and see how it sounds, probably 3 to 5 W, a speaker
