My CD player is using these diodes in the power supply. Can someone suggest a better replacement? How about those high speed soft recovery diodes from Percy audio?
Thanks for the reply.

Try the UF4007: same voltage and current rating, but with 75ns reverse recovery time and soft recovery charasteristics.

In what application did you use these diodes for?
Thanks

Kay
Excuse me I mean BA 159
For testing i made a setup: trafo/diode/1000u cap/load to simulate any ps; tested size and speed of switch-off noise of some diodes like 1Nxxx, BA159, schottky; the applikation was a preamp supply; btw rating of BA159 is: 1A rms, 35A pk, 1000V, cap 18pF, switch-off time 100ns;

Alf, can you list the diodes you tested in this experiment as a starting point for others?
Thanks,
James
