Removing LEDs from Lepai LP2020 possible?

Hi,

In order to safe battery life and because I don't like the too shiny blue light of my Lepai amp, i would like to ask if I can just remove the 2 LED lights of the amp by cutting through the LED cables?

Does anyone know if this is not a problem?
