I've refoamed many many of these using the same rubber surround. However there is this 1 has the habit of coming apart after 2-3 hours of playing.
It glues up fine and looks good. I put it in the cabinet and run it, and it stays OK for about 2-3 hours, even if spread out over months. I've swapped it to the other cabinet, same problem. The other one is still fine after maybe 20 hours of use.
I foamed using rubber cement first, then using aleenes Turbo glue and then again with rubber cement. All have the same effect.
Can someone help me understand what may be going on ? Should I clean the surface better ? with what ? acetone ? Rubbing alcohol ? I usually only clean them mechanically. Dental floss hook stick usually
